Hulu Now Has More Than 25 Million Subscribers, Sets Sights on Even More Content
Hulu’s been working on expanding its library of content for quite some time, which does involve grabbing some streaming rights from the previously-held Netflix. Hulu has announced that it has more than 25 million subscribers, an impressive number all by itself. But when you factor in the fact that the bump in numbers is almost a 50 percent increase year-over-year, and the fact that subscribers are all in the United States, that’s quite the milestone. According to the company, a big reason why so many people are subscribing to the platform is due to its exclusive content options. That includes shows like 30 Rock , ER , Bob’s Burgers , among others, all of which are only available on Hulu. Most of those shows were previously on Netflix, but Hulu has been working behind-the-scenes to grab those streaming rights from competing platforms.
